MY10 Commodore: heart transplant but no facelift

Less than a year ago Rudd and Kim Carr committed the Government to spending $6.2 billion of taxpayers money to support the car industry which has delivered this – MY10 Commodore: heart transplant but no facelift

$6.2 billion is a lot of money, I would have thought we could manage a decent local hybrid for that sort of loot. Instead GM, who took over Holden after the second world war gets away with churning out the same concept that has rolled off their assembly lines for years. Large cars & big petrol engines. Don’t get me wrong, if there wasn’t a looming oil shortage and a small CO2 problem, the general could make cars like this forever. I bet we get told how lucky we are that GMH didn’t go bust and you know, cars take years of design work to get right so just wait and see. Yeah.
